The Blogyssey Project
I want to take portraits of different bloggers, of all genres, from across the United States and Canada being who they really are.
Usually we know them as text on a screen, a cartoon avatar, or an overexposed self-portrait a la "MySpace" style. But really who ARE the bloggers we are reading?
Ideally what I would do is set-up a blog and determine bloggers who would be interested in such a portraiture project. I would then travel through the United States and Canada during July and August to take a minimum of 365 portraits of these bloggers in their "natural" environment.
After the trip and the shoot, I would do both an online display and hopefully a gallery showing as well of the faces behind the screen.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that idea Dawg!!! You should totally win. It'd be SO interesting to see everyone doing their natural thing, cause let's face it...when we take our own pictures we sort of do it a certain way that really isn't natural at all. I'd be down for a photoshoot! lol

I also think it would be bery popular as it gives others a chance to see fellow bloggers in their natural soroundings. (On line stuff is so one dimensional.)

You need $50,000 to do that? Bloggers don't have there own pictures of themselves they can "post"?

Good ideas like yours that are not in the Top 100 are nearly impossible to find. This is unfair as many great ideas are hidden. Those of us in the “Sub-100” should work together to promote the best projects of the Sub-100 so that they can be in the Top 100 and be seen. Please vote for best Sub-100s!

most of the projects here are documentary assignments, and most of the judges are documentary photographs. I believe in my project, but I don't think I have a chance, coz my project is more conceptual. Anyways.. good luck with yours!
