Children of Redemption

Capturing stories of hope... of broken lives redeemed!

Children of Redemption

I recently had a chance to visit an orphanage in India for children born in brothels and infected with HIV. I knew before arriving that most of the kids would not live beyond their teenage years and I tried to prepare myself for what I was going to encounter. What I saw when I arrived was astonishing!

Children were running and jumping, laughing, playing games and bursting with joy. I spent the next few hours running in circles, playing patty cake, giving piggy-back rides, and fighting back the tears. The previous night I had been given a tour of the red light district out of which these children were rescued, it was the most terrifying thing I had ever seen. I had seen their nightmares, their past, their pain… and then I saw their hope, their redemption.

I would like to travel throughout Asia, South America and Africa to capture the stories and the faces of the Children of Redemption… kids who had no hope, no opportunity, no freedom but were rescued and given a new opportunity to live. Whether they were rescued from brothels, from streets, or from being forced to fight in wars against their own families… there are countless stories of children whose lives are being restored as they find joy, hope and maybe even love. By telling their stories, showing their faces filled with life, and letting them share their dreams for the future perhaps other children will find their redemption. Lets make their stories heard.

Interesting idea, check out mine and vote for me if you like it. Its about poverty and society in 3rd world countries and how they are controlled, devastated by their governments and western industrialized nations. http://tinyurl.com/chy79g
