Venice, Italy...the disappearing city
Many people will never have the chance to visit this beautiful city on the water. It is slowly sinking and even with the many repairs being done, several experts claim that within the next 100 years, Venice may be no more.
Many people will never have the chance to visit this beautiful city on the water. It is slowly sinking and even with the many repairs being done, several experts claim that within the next 100 years, Venice may be no more.
However what will remain will be memories, stories, but most importantly photos.
By documenting every aspect of this majectic city on the water, people for generations will have proof that Venice exisited. With it's long canals, beautiful Gondolas, thousands of pigeons...it's unbearable that some many never get to see Venice.
My idea is to capture this city in all it's glory. From high tide to low tide, from the churches, the museums, the water buses, the cafes, the people. I love to have my images published in a book so that it is here for generations to come.
