Clean Energy and the Magnificent Landscapes of America
The great natural landscapes of Earth have been photographed to death. And they should be. They're breathtaking.
Focusing on clean energy, I want to photograph the great landscapes of America and show what we're doing to protect them.
To illustrate why clean energy is important, I plan to tell a story juxtaposing images of natural landscapes, urban landscapes, and clean energy installations:
* Natural landscapes of the great national parks of America to show how beautiful and clean this Earth can be,
* Urban landscapes of the most polluted cities in America to explore the opposite: how harmful pollution can be to us and our beautiful Earth,
* And clean energy installations all over to illustrate the beginnings of a quest to cure ailments of the past, present and future.
And if it makes sense to get up in a hot air balloon, helicopter, and/or small plane for some cool imagery that relates to this topic, I'd love to do that too. ;-)
Green and clean solar, wind, and hydroelectric power sources. What are the positives of each specific source of power? What are the negatives? How can each energy source be improved? I plan to photograph the largest and smallest installations of each to illustrate what is being done, and how it can be improved.
I believe my point can be made in as little as three images. But, I want to show people more of this world, why they might want to explore it themselves, and why they should protect it for themselves and their children.
Why just North America, why not the whole world? While each and every country of this world have absolutely gorgeous landscapes that deserve to be photographed and enjoyed, I've always wanted to travel throughout the United States to see and learn more about the natural beauty of my country. I believe my point can be made with imagery from the United States alone.
