The Blank Idea
I am going to photograph all the blank spaces in the world.
I am going to photograph all the blank spaces in the world.When I have done that I am going to mount an exhibition in a major city such as New York or London (or both and tour it)and project onto each large floor to ceiling blank image, one photograph from some of the ideas that I think are best in this competition-regardless of rank.If not a picture from the idea,then it will be one photo from that person who had the idea.
It goes without saying a portion of proceeds will be donated to charity.I am experienced also(as well as photography) in high end events so it will probably be done in conjunction with a charity.

thanks guys...lol...the world is filled with so much "gumph" what is "blank"? the spaces between buildings where you can see a portion of sky, the matt monotone green of bright green grass in Hawaii...the grey slab of concrete in New York??
...is "blank" coloured or is it not?Is there anything left to paint a canvas on in the world?...is that small portion of the car park..just a blank -a monolithic structure on an otherwise patch of land that could be teaming with nature...
what about a small 100 metre portion of the sea without a ripple on...is that a "blank"?

I am creating the canvas,the blanks...for which one still picture shall be projected.....the blanks have multi level significance and meaning..
Also Have you ever had a"blank" where your mind for that split second just goes "blank"?
years ago I pitched a music video to Warners and i said ..the videos nothing, all white...the label finally went for it and it won awards.It was all white...and then in process red..and black..began to emerge.
There are so many great ideas,including many alturistic ones,about our own humanity and human condition worldwide, that are not going to see the light of day..Im creating the layered photographic canvas,,of our world...to be filled with humanity of our world...
Are there any blanks left in the world?What have we filled them in with, metophroically speaking- concrete and plastic to dull our senses?...and if there blanks left, lets not fill them in with the state of our human condition..
.lets look at oursleves, worldwide,! I want to show show how important the blanks are in the world,to protect,...and fill them up with all thats good and needs to be lit.Show our human condition.The world.Projected back at us.
This is our world.
Lets do something that benefits not just one in this competion..but many , and the world that we stand for.
I'm going to shoot the blank spaces in the world,to protect them and highlight them, and for us to put our condition on and show the human condition we have built.So that we may do better.

Hi Anna. I absolutely loved your orphanage idea, but I admit to being confused by this one. What are "blank spaces?" Even empty lots are not "blank." The Arctic wilderness is not "blank." Can you explain? Thanks! And good luck.
