My dream is to capture the world through the eyes of the children. I want to travel the world, hand children cameras, let them take picture, and build a collection of photos showing how they view the world around them.
Have you ever wondered how children in different parts of the planet see the world around them? I know I have! My dream is to capture the world through the eyes of the children. I want to see their daily lives the way they see it! I want to be exposed to their genuine creativity and to their unusual perspectives. And I want to share it with you!
To realize my dream, I want to hand out simple cameras to elementary-mid-school age children in various locations over the world. I want them to keep the cameras, in return for participating in a week long photography assignment. Their photos are what I want to share with you. My calculations show that with the $50K budget it is possible to get at least 100 children involved in different locations worldwide. I will be there to document them capturing the world.
How will I decide where to go? I will ask you! I intend to have an online space where I will be able to make the decisions jointly with all of you. I would already love to hear suggestions for places to go and interesting communities to visit. Please share your thoughts!
I envision the final outcome as a snapshot of our world through the eyes of the children. It will be online so anyone could access and see their stories.

Excellent idea! I have worked for years putting creativity into the hands of children. When they engage in creativity, it leads to serious improvement in learning. They get better grades in other subjects. This will be a fantastic way to engage learners!

You know, $50k will go much farther than you anticipate. I think you should think in the thousands of children you would affect. Take donations of cameras and film instead of buying them.
Though not mentioned, this is part of my dream as well. I hope one of us makes it.

Thanks! I am definitely thinking about it. This is why it says "at least 100 children" - that's the minimum (which I am confident I can deliver). I think however, it’ll be possible to get donations and/or significant discounts on buying lots of cameras. Will check out your dream. Thanks for voting!

Unite against the “network” that is scheming votes. Support ideas that are “lost” due to unworthy ideas using low tactics. “Insulin” is not the best idea. most of the projects here are documentary assignments, and most of the judges are documentary photographs. I believe in my project, but I don't think I have a chance, coz my project is more conceptual. Anyways.. good luck with yours!
