The World is Jumping
My dream is to travel all over the world and take pictures of people jumping in amazing places. Children, men, women, maybe even animals. I've already started doing it on my own - theworldisjumping.com
I think one of the amazing things about photography is the ability to capture a single moment and make it last. That's what I think makes it a great thing to combine with people jumping. Jumping is something we do all the time but rarely do we see ourselves really captured in that floating moment. People really shine when they're jumping. I love the challenge as a photographer to get the timing just perfect. My girlfriend Karla and I are traveling around the world working on this project but it's coming to an end because the funds are almost done. I wish I could do this longer. Bravo. Good on so many levels. Frankly, jumping in photographs sounds like a great a.) birthday party activity, b.) group bonding / corporate workshop, c.) annual thing to do for kids - collect one from every year. As therapy? It goes on.

Jumpology, as Philippe Halsman referred to his new science, is a method of interpreting someone's personality from a photograph of that person jumping. People tend to pose for photographers, but when asked to jump, they reveal whether they are rigid, fun, or mentally unstable.
