50 states 50 bands: Local Music; The American Dream

I'd like to go to pick a local band from each state, shoot a show they play. Get a video interview with the band.

For about two months now I've been traveling up and down New Jersey photographing bands from Philadelphia to New York. I'm doing this to get the word out about local music. Lets face it we live in an economy thats in shambles. There are folks out there just like you and I who spend their free time practicing and devote their weekends entertaining in the name of rock and roll. These are the real hometown heroes. Guys and Gals out there week in and week out grinding it out in bars, basements, and smaller venues. Then come Monday the head back to work or school with the rest of society. If there's a nobler cause in the name of music, I can't think of it. My dream is to travel to all fifty states and shoot one band in each state thats either unsigned or yet unsung. I'll post them with a write up and video interview to my blog! I believe myself to be a rock informant not a rock critic. I want the world to know that there were bands here, they play for the sake of playing, and after they rocked out, they supported other fledging bands in hopes of communal success!

if you haven't found bands for NC or MA, I highly suggest Parmalee and Jake Armerding, respectively :)
