Our goal is to travel to impoverished nations, document the reality of poverty, use resources to fight poverty and raise awareness of the epidemic of poverty.
We want to tell their story.

Poverty controls the world around us.
Over three billion people live on less than $2.50 per day.
Their story.
According to the 2007 Human Development Report, around 27-28 percent of all children in developing countries are estimated to be underweight or stunted. The two regions that account for the bulk of the deficit are South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

According to UNICEF, 25,000 children die each day due to poverty. And they “die quietly in some of the poorest villages on earth, far removed from the scrutiny and the conscience of the world. Being meek and weak in life makes these dying multitudes even more invisible in death.”

We want to tell the story of those who cannot have a voice of their own. By utilizing photography, we can tell their story from their perspective.
More importantly, we want to help ease their pain.
By minimizing operation and equipment cost, we hope to utilize the prize money to depict how much of an impact can be made in poverty stricken areas. Instead of using all of this money in operational costs, we would use the money to fight the issue of hunger in the villages we visit.
Our goal is to travel to impoverished villages both in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa (two of the most impoverished nations in the world), document the harsh realities of poverty and utilize resources to ease the hunger caused by poverty. Through this we hope to raise awareness of this epidemic called poverty.
We want to tell their story.
Even more important than giving these people a voice to be heard, we want to demonstrate what can be done to provide aid to those in need.
Rather than just building up an emotional response to simply raise awareness of the issue, we will show what can be done to help make a change.
Actions speak louder than words.
By setting the example we hope to not only increase awareness, but also spark a movement of action. Through action, changes can be made.
